Evidence-Based Investing

Frontier Investment Management places great value upon the research and empirical evidence accumulated over the past 100 years, and maintains close ties with the academic community to remain up to date with current research into the capital markets.

The strategic diversification that lies at the heart of Frontier’s product range draws from key investment theories from the last century: Markowitz’s research on diversification, Tobin’s work on leverage, the overwhelming evidence in favour of index investing for traditional asset classes, as well as the investment practices of the US University Endowment Funds all contribute to our own investment philosophy.

Much recent research has focused on the valuable contribution that alternative assets can make to investment portfolios due to their low correlations and high risk adjusted returns alongside a traditional equity and bond investments.  Frontier is a strong advocate of alternative asset classes, and our methodologies challenge the widely held belief that these need to be expensive, illiquid and opaque investments.

Frontier’s commitment to research and innovation will see our product range continuously developing as new ideas come to the fore of investment thought.
